Style 1 Chrome Block Letters and Numbers: The Little Letters That Fix Everything
Style 1 standard chrome block letters and numbers are the go-to 1.2 inch stock letters for spelling just about anything in clean, bright chrome.
The missing "T"
Every car show has one. A gorgeous truck, waxed to a mirror shine, and right there on the tailgate it says "SIERRA" minus a letter, because a car wash brush ate it three summers ago. The owner has been meaning to fix it ever since. Maybe that owner is you.
Good news: the fix costs about three bucks. Our Style 1 Standard Block chrome letters are the plain-spoken workhorse of the chrome letter world, and they are exactly what you need when you want a word to look like it came from the factory.
What Style 1 actually is
Style 1 is a classic, upright block letter, 1.2 inches tall, with a bright chrome face and an adhesive back. It comes as three separate stock items, each $2.95:
- Style 1 Chrome Block Letters A-Z for spelling words and names.
- Style 1 Chrome Block Numbers 0-9 for model years, engine sizes, race numbers and house numbers.
- Style 1 Chrome Punctuation Marks for the dash in "4-4", the period in "V.8", or an exclamation point if your car has opinions.
You order the exact characters you need, so a five-letter word does not mean buying a whole alphabet.
Things people spell with it
The fun part of Style 1 is that it goes anywhere a small, clean word belongs. Owners use it to restore worn model names on trunks and tailgates, to add a year like "1979" next to an emblem, to put initials on a toolbox drawer, and to give a mailbox or a garage fridge a house number that actually shines. At 1.2 inches, it is big enough to read and small enough to fit on a narrow trim panel.
Make it look straight
Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol and let it dry. Run a strip of painter's tape along the bottom edge as a guide, lay out the letters before peeling anything, and keep the spacing even by eye from a few steps back. Press each letter firmly for about 30 seconds, then pull the tape.
Order before you need it
Holiday road trips and winter car shows sneak up fast, and a garage gift for the car person in your family is easier to buy early. Standard shipping is free on U.S. orders over $55 USD, and Priority shipping is available at checkout when you want your letters sooner.
Grab the exact letters and numbers you need from the Style 1 Standard Block chrome letters collection, and finally put that missing "T" back where it belongs.
